Our Vision: An industrial park Cheshire can be proud of

Cheshire Green Industrial Park will offer thriving local businesses with homes they can be proud of in a great strategic location at the heart of Cheshire. We want to create a park with well-designed and built industrial and distribution units all within a sustainable and well-maintained environment that helps businesses that call it home be more successful.

Cheshire Green Industrial Park is part of the Haughton Estate, managed and developed by Phillip and Becky Posnett. It will be an important part of the estate helping to maintain other important streams of income - agriculture and residential property that both support the local community from a employment and housing perspective. The park will also help to bring more jobs into the area.

It is important to the family that Cheshire Green Industrial Park is something that turns an old brown field site into a usable, aesthetically pleasing and thriving environment that boosts the local economy and creates benefits for the community living and working in this part of Cheshire.

The history of Cheshire Green

Cheshire Green Industrial Park was originally Calveley Airfield, and was planned as a night fighter base for the defence of the cities of the industrial North West, such as Manchester and Liverpool.

Airfield construction commenced in January 1941 and because it was to be used by twin-engine fighter aircraft types, it was furnished with three concrete runways and a perimeter track, but only a few aircraft dispersal points. By the time the Airfield was complete there had been a change of plan and Calveley was relegated to serve only as a flying training station.
